Welcome To Greengate!In 2004 a small flock of Lincoln Longwools came to Greengate Cottage in Slaley.
I have always had an interest in spinning dyeing and country crafts, so I knew I was looking for a traditional breed of sheep with a high yield of wool per fleece.
The sheep are kept on seven acres of land outside the workshop, which has fantastic views over the south facing Derbyshire countryside.
When it’s raining outside, why not book a one-to-one session and learn the art of spinning and dyeing? We offer half day sessions or a full day with a home- cooked lunch. We can also take bookings for small groups.
